Video for Atticus

Here's my latest video--this one promoting "Atticus", a company that produces seminars, workshops and personal coaching for attorneys, to help them create more productive practices and meaningful lives.
The purpose of this video was to promote this particular seminar to attorneys.  The idea was to have it come across as something exciting and challenging, and the type of thing that could transform their law practice.

I've had this idea of trying to replicate some of the early 60's ads, and I love that period of fashion and furnishings--our home is full of it.  Our friend Sandy has a house that looks like a set from "Mad Men", along with a hug collection of clothes and accessories.  Wendy and Tanya from Synergy Salon did a fabulous job with the hair and makeup of our models, Holly and Jeremy.  "Stylist to the stars" Robbin brought it all together with great props and styling, and Bill was a huge help as my "human lightstand".  Another true group effort.

Defying gravity

This beautiful young ballerina helped me complete a vision of a girl who cannot be held down by mere gravity.  I'm just now learning to use layers in Photoshop, so this was a good exercise.  Is some of these she's jumping, and in others' she's being propped up and then I removed it in PS. 
While she was in my living room, we took some more photos.

Airboat

This is one of the "adventure series" that writer Jeanne Fluegge and I have been doing for Pulse Magazine.  This time we got to go on a very fast airboat and see lots of baby alligators.

At the Fair

While I had permission to shoot at the fair, I got Holly all dolled up and photographed her in front of the Ferris Wheel.  Big thanks to Wendy and Brandy at Synergy Salon for fabulous hair and makeup, Lisa at the Designer Exchange for the great dress and Dennis for dragging my equipment through the dreck.

County Fair Kids

My father raised roosters as part of 4-H back in the 20's and he got my brother into it in the 50's, as he also raised chickens.  We had several large coops in our backyard (this wouldn't be allowed in Mount Dora today!) and Mark sold fresh eggs to the neighbors.  To this day Mark helps kids in 4-H by allowing them to use his cattle ranch to raise their steers and pigs.
I was pleased to see that our local county fair is still active with students showing their rabbits, chickens, cows and pigs--some things never change, even in this digital age.
I photographed these amamzing kids with their animals right at the fair, sometimes even in their pens.  I felt better about our future after this shoot.  We're going to be OK.

 

MO Brangus

Pulse magazine did an article about my brother and how he helps 4-H kids on his cattle ranch.
I thought I was going to get one of his bulls to cooperate and sit for a photo, but that didn't really work out like I had planned.

Kitsch to Kreepy

I did some modeling shots for Holly, and as the day progressed we went from kitsch to kreepy.

First Green Bank

This started out as an assignment for Pulse Magazine, then turned into an experiment with "light painting", and then became an additional magazine shoot.
This bank is one of only two LEED Platinum certified commercial buildings in the state.  It's very cool architecturally, but over-the-top "green".

This was shot on location in a classroom full of transmissions.
